I'm Nate Minkevich, a 17 year old High School Senior currently attending Sato Academy of Mathematics and Science in Long Beach, California. Outside of school I am heavily involved in Taekwondo as well as solving Rubik's Cubes, also known as Speedcubing. I am involved in Taekwondo as a both a student and a volunteer assistant instructor, teaching young students what I was taught when I began my journey in Taekwondo. Through Speedcubing, I compete as a competitior in the World Cube Association (WCA), specializing in the traditional 3x3 Cube and its Blindfolded equivalent. I also serve member of the WCA Integrity Committee, specializing in handling ethical matters regarding the WCA Code of Ethics.
Through my volunteer work as a Taekwondo Instuctor, I have learned first hand what it is like to communicate with childern of all ages and keep them engaged when learning new things. Through offering my tutoring services, I hope to spread my love of knowledge to new groups of youth to help them get ahead in their school studies. I am not just qualified through my ability to teach however, but also my expertise in math as a whole. Throughout my time in school, I have received an A grade in all of my math classes, being Math 6th/7th Accelerated, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and AP Precalculus. This past may, I received the maximum score of a 5 on the AP Precalculus exam, and am currently taking both AP Statistics and AP Calculus AB.
